"Born in Brooklyn but raised in Jamaica, Queens, rapper Blvd Benny got his start as hypeman and opening act for his homeboy, Craig Mack. Winning the 2000 Coca Cola True Talent Search at the famous Apollo Theater earned him a spot in a television commercial for Coke, and then in 2002 he began writing for other artists. With all the proceeds going to UNICEF, an appearance on the 2005 charity single "Nino Esperanza" helped Benny honor his parents' homeland of Ecuador. In 2008 he stepped out from behind the scenes and released a series of mixtapes, including The Formula with DJ Absolut. In 2008 he released the first single off his much anticipated debut album "Que Sera, Sera" entitled "Rock It Out" and immediately followed it with a remix featuring Jadakiss and Fabolous. He plans on releasing his debut in 2010.
Benny has a completed album of original songs ready and waiting for the right deal. With songs entitled, “Rock It Out,” “Chain Swingin,” “Listen to my Demo,” and “Donkey Kong,” he will definitely take you on a journey of ups & downs and twists & turns.
